Industry News Sites

There are many websites that will help to bring you up to date about what is happening in radio or in the broader media landscape.

Note: Some of these sites are presented by owners who like to also espouse various political beliefs.  Sites are only included here because of the useful radio-related information they provide.  Endorsement is neither made nor implied of the views and opinions of any other site operator.

National or International

RadioWorld is technically-oriented but covers the industry generally as well, including important legal FCC issues.

Inside Radio features more of the business and programming aspects of radio, including news about people, stations being sold, and format changes.

Broadcasting and Cable, knowing for many years simply as Broadcasting magazine has been the industry’s “newspaper of record” historically.  As the name suggests, it covers a lot more than radio alone, but major radio stories are there.

Radio Ink is another great source of news about the entire industry, covering programming, legal, sales and technical issues.

All Access is the place for lots of news, published ratings information, and commentary.

Regional Sites — Going in-depth about the places they serve

DCRTV.Com – In the Washington-Baltimore area this is a daily read for almost anyone with in interest in media!

LARadio.Com has the latest news about the people and stations of the Los Angeles area.

New York Radio Guide – They cover the major news in New York radio and have databases of station information, including programming schedules and stream links.

New York Radio Message Board — This is a simple, rather old-fashioned, bulletin board.  It does have a lot of people posting and commenting about radio in the Big Apple, and a link to a New York Radio history board as well.
